Winter season offers spa visitors various opportunities related to winter sports, especially ski resorts in the Low Tatras. Perfectly groomed snow surface on ski slopes suitable for skiing and sledding can be found at numerous ski resorts within 25 kilometres from our spa facility. They offer ski schools and full ski service so that you can enjoy moments of trouble-free winter entertainment even during night hours.

The Low Tatras – Jasná

Altitude: 2 024 metres above sea level

Jasná Ski Resort in the Low Tatras is Slovakia’s largest ski resort with perfect conditions for winter sports. It offers unlimited opportunities for entertainment , activities and active relaxation on the northern and southern slopes of Chopok. To reach the peak of Chopok you can use the most up-to-date funitel cable ways or a cabin capable of carrying up to 15 people. The resort offers 45 kilometres of perfectly maintained slopes of various difficulty levels, suitable for beginners, families with children, advanced skiers as well as for organising world-class races. Modern 27 km long snowmaking system provides snow on the slopes for a minimum of 5 months a year. Wild ride lovers will make the most of their passion in the free ride zones and in the outstanding snow park. Two runs lit by powerful spotlights are available for night skiing. Skiing season usually lasts from the beginning of December till the end of April. 30 cable ways with transport capacity of more than 30 000 people per hour are used to transport skiers.

Altitude: 580 – 860 metres above sea level

Tále Ski Resort offers a wide range of winter activities. Smooth functioning of skiing services is provided thanks to 6 ski-lifts with transport capacity of 4110 people per hour. The resort offers precisely groomed slopes for skilled and less skilled skiers. There is also one slope reserved exclusively for beginners. Total length of ski runs is 2,77 kilometres and they are covered with artificial snow. 3 ski-lifts and 1,5 kilometres of slopes are available for night skiing.

Lovers of cross-country skiing can use a well-maintained 6,5 km long loop of pistes near the golf course.

Active non-skiers can try snow tubing-riding across the snow on a large inflated inner tube.

More than 11 kilometres of regularly groomed snow tracks, out of the 17 downhill pistes more than 7 km are covered with artificial snow. Mýto pod Ďumbierom Ski Resort

Altitude: 598 – 998 metres above sea level

The ski resorts lies on northern slopes of the Low Tatra foothills. Location, configuration, unique landform and ideal parameters (FIS approved races) make it a perfect place for quality skiing not only for advanced skiers but also for less experienced skiers and beginners. New 4-person POMA UNIFIX chairlifts with transport capacity of 2000 pople per hour and 3 ski-lifts with transport capacity of 3600 people per hour are used. One of the most important conditions for good skiing season are quality snow conditions. Our resort meets all requirements thanks to our snowmaking system which looks after snow tracks of 2,5 kilometres. All pistes are groomed on daily basis using the most up-to-date technologies operated by qualified personnel.
